If you don't use a protective case.
I couldn't leave my phone until I took off the protective case. So if that doesn't bother you then this is for you! Mounting it to my rear window was no picnic, but once I've installed it I'm pretty sure it's sturdy. It would be perfect if he kept my phone in a case but the clips are not long enough
