Review on Elite 32-inch Stackable Wall Cabinet by PREPAC by Nik Dingaling

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Do you like a flimsy, expensive wardrobe with technical flaws? Then this is for you!

I looked at this cabinet for several weeks before deciding to buy it. I went through and read all the reviews from 1 star to 5 stars and saw that most of the reviews were positive so I ended up buying it. I was so excited because our new house didn't have a lot of storage space and I was planning to use it as a closet in the hallway to store our bath towels and other things. Here's the only PRO I can give you: I love the color and it doesn't take long to put together. That's all. CONS: You might want to pour a drink before reading the CONS list. I can't believe there is a company that actually does this crap. Since it didn't take us long to put it together, it meant we quickly became disillusioned. You would think something weighing 104 pounds would be sturdy, right? Not correct. In addition, you can easily rock the cabinet to the left or right (after assembly), which means it's not stable at all. If we had kids we would either try to get him back or throw him in the fire. It's that bad. Oh, if you only understand graphical instructions, you're done. Nobody at the company that developed this product saw fit to label the shelves, so it's up to you to figure out which shelf goes where. It gets better... Another major technical flaw: closet doors that open and close are so heavy that you have to attach them to the wall because as soon as you open the doors, they lean forward. If you have young children who enjoy climbing, DO NOT purchase this product. This is the first piece of furniture we had to secure in our house and we have two huge cages that we don't have to worry about. Strange. After following the instructions, the final product showed exterior doors that were misaligned - the right door is taller than the left. The only way to fix this is to drill more holes in one of the doors, which would be an utter headache. Here's another downside: Finally, the shelf supports (which you can move up and down to allow you to place the shelf) are PLASTIC...not metal. That means that if one of them breaks, you have to be SOL or go to your local hardware store and hope they have the same shelf size. looks (garage, laundry room, attic), everything will be fine. But if you are looking for a purposeful, robust piece of furniture whose doors have to be flush, you will be disappointed. I will never buy anything from this company again. Lesson learned.
