Review on APEC WFS 1000 Capacity Under Sink Water by Jay Buford

For many years I had a two cartridge machine that I was happy with, but the people who bought my house wanted it. So, new house, new water filter under the sink. After searching and reading all sorts of reviews, I settled on an APEC 3 cartridge unit. Where I live now, the water has a higher chlorine content than where I was before. But it takes care of it completely. In fact, the water tastes better than in my old house. This is much better than filtered water from the fridge. I had no problems installing the device. The instructions are a little redundant which is confusing but once you get started they make sense. (Listen, APEC - use the "cookbook" format for your instructions, not the "datasheet" approach!) Other reviewers complained about the quality of the fittings, but the ones in my kit were top-notch. As I transitioned from all-copper plumbing to the wonderful world of semi-rigid plastic tubing at my new location, there was some hesitation in learning to use the new system, but it was actually easier. If you're looking for a filtration system that does what it says on the tin, give this one a try. But this is a 3-cartridge unit, so make sure you have space under your sink!
