I do not need fancy colored pencils for what I bought these for. While I do own some quality art supplies, I was hoping these would be on par with the quality of Crayola (or even a little better after reading the reviews). These are a step down- more like Rose Art if anyone remembers that brand. They are not soft and crumble when sharpened. Good luck using them again after sharpening.What really got my attention is when I looked at the actual colors. The color shown is not the actual color of the pencil. I drew samples of all of the colors. Almost all of the blues are mislabeled. For example, cerulean is a standard color in almost every set but when you use the cerulean in this set, it is actually coneflower blue. Also, all of the blues are very similar in color- the yellows/tans are almost the same. The red is actually pink and the pinks are more red. Most of the reds are mislabeled. This set is just a nightmare.
