I have owned this GPS for about 4 years and have very few complaints about it. I start with them first and they are more or less picky.1. Battery life. It's not the best, it works but I still leave it on.2. map updates. it has a common POI but cannot be updated.3. route decisions. and that got me where I needed to be better than those TOMTOMs, but one day I had to do 95 just to go back to Atlantic City. I disobeyed and went my own way. After a few detours, it figured out where I was going and all went well. The good things about it are: 1. Silly-simple. It's easy to use and has handy quick access features that let you fiddle with it even at low speed.2. night mode. It doesn't automatically detect if it's light or dark, but after 2 clicks you can change it to the setting you want (you can even adjust the colors)3. voice guidance. I know all GPS's have them but this one doesn't say it. It tells you when to turn, but doesn't repeat itself if you're driving on the same road for a long time. British lady voice plus.4. small size. It doesn't take up much space, the window mount doesn't get in the way and again it's easy so you don't have to worry about manipulating it when you're driving 70 on the freeway. costs over $100 and is definitely not the best option but it will save your ass more than a few times as it is very simple and has no frills to ruin you. If you need a GPS for security and random saving, but are pretty good at finding your way around, I'd say go for it. However, if you have doubts about your choice and feel like pedalling, get a Garmin.
