This Dell E6540 laptop is a nightmare, since the day I got it the battery has intermittently not charged, occasionally over the Docking station charged. . Then, when the laptop was in use, the battery showed a full charge, I got the message "Unable to communicate with the battery," and the laptop abruptly shut down. Ordered a new battery - same problem. Now the batteries won't charge at all - the laptop won't boot at all with a dead battery - making it completely unusable. Now Over 90 Days Guarantee - I've tried contacting SKYTECH but they won't accept email! The bad news. If the laptop turns on for a few seconds and then turns off again, this usually indicates a problem with the charger. Do you have a spare charger to test with a computer? Please let us know.
