This part is so cheap I didn't return it so it's gathering dust on my shelf. not suitable for AM3/Am3+ boards. Even if it was that cheap and awful I wouldn't trust it, it was damaged and partially warped but it was needed for a project so I was trying to see if it would work, no the steel back plate was the wrong size, so it didn't matter that I could 3D print a replacement for the deformed part of the bracket. When I reassembled the strut after trying to use it one of the bolts bent like wet spaghetti, I mean who never uses annealed aluminum for bolts again, awful product.
