Worked great on a set of hand painted raw poplar door frames. I was impressed that the gel stain didn't seep over the rim of the cork. I'm not sure how they would have performed with a less viscous material, but for my purpose they fit perfectly! Removing the stubs can be a problem. I used a sharp wood chisel to insert between the plastic lip and the door surface to raise it high enough to carefully pry with a small hammer. All but (2) of the 24 spark plugs I installed proved to be like new. The rim of two was slightly damaged but should work again.
