I think with Sperry you're paying for the name. That's why I give this shoe four stars out of five. They appear to be well made, but they're seersucker-style slip-ons - nothing special. I love them with Capris and on summer days. The light gray and white stripe goes with everything. I don't regret paying more than $50, but for summer running shoes it's too much for me. I'll add: I usually wear a 9 in women's Nike or New Balance shoes, mostly in flip flops. In evening shoes I wear 8.5. The 9 in this shoe was too big so I went for the 8.5 and it was perfect.
