I sleep on my side - I got this pillow because I had shoulder surgery and needed something to rest my hand on when I could finally sleep in bed again. I also sleep with a pillow between my legs so this is perfect. The memory foam padding isn't hot (cooling gel foam helps regulate temperature) and is generously padded. So stuffed it was actually too much for me so I took some of the stuffing out of the head area and squeezed some of it into the body area too and now it's perfect. I love that I can roll from side to side and not have to worry about moving the pillow back and forth. An added benefit is that it's like a snuggle pillow, which I like. However, if you don't like being stroked with a spoon, you might not like this pillow.
