I waited a bit before writing this review to ensure I can give a realistic idea of these bottles. I was actually going to send it back just a few days after receiving it, but then decided to keep it for myself. First thing that struck me from day one, the bottles are strong. The glass is thick enough not to break. I've accidentally chipped them several times and there are no rips or stains on them. Two points. The top has a rubber gasket insert and one gasket was missing when it arrived. Not a big deal considering I removed all the rubber grommets anyway. My issue with them is that no matter how you clean them, they leave a strong odor on or around the mouthpiece of the bottle and that makes bottled drinking almost impossible. Even after I removed the gum, there is still a slight smell after using the bottles. I don't know exactly why. Everything is fine after washing the bottle, but the smell persists after use. The second problem is that one of the lids does not close completely. As you rotate it to seal, it moves closer to the closing point and then rotates continuously. When I first noticed this, I grabbed it by the loop on the lid and it ripped off and spattered everywhere. It seems there was an inconsistency in how these caps were made. Another thing related to the lids is that when trying to open them I noticed that the plastic part and the metal part start rotating separately making them more difficult. to open a bottle. The metal part rotates, but the plastic does not move. So here's what. Just a few things I'd like to know in advance, so I'll leave that for you.
