Great for defense. I know there are many people who have had problems, but this is where I think they are going wrong. When attaching the cable to the installation device, make sure that the white tabs on the end of the tool are visible at the end. Otherwise, the tool will tear the collar. If you take your time and make sure the tool's teeth are visible at the end before stretching it for installation, you won't have a problem.
