Look for another.

Now I've bought two of these and the first 10 times they work fine. but i think they break inside. I take good care of the sensors and keep them clean, and I'm very careful with the cables and the mount that sends the signal to the device. But they both did the same thing and started reading away completely. I cooked a brisket yesterday and the meter showed it was 165. Another thermometer that never failed me showed 80. Also, the base that the probe goes into is starting to loosen so much that I had to use a rubber band to hold the sensor with the wrong end of the device because it did not send a signal. There were a few times when the wearable reported a certain temperature and the temperature would flash for a while, but if you pick up the phone and hold it for a while, it picks up the signal again and then jumps 40 degrees. It has a limited range, but I'm talking about doing it at 30 feet. When it works this thing is amazing but definitely not very reliable and breaks very easily. I bought two to make sure I didn't receive a defective one and they're both so good I won't be spending my money on them again.
