Screw heads too big for dual SS side shooters

I have rigid dual SS side shooters. They weren't tight enough to hold the light, I unscrewed them and found the heads were too big and when I tightened them they scratched the headlight fairing. I had to buy two sets of these, one set for each light for a total of $50, the lights were $475 and then I had to grind down the screw heads to make it work. That's a lot of money for a terrible product.
