Review on Altland Heavy Duty Battery Tie Down Bracket: Secure Your Battery with Style in Matte Blue by Antonio Scisson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Poor fit between filler caps. . .

Okay, I used this on a Jeep CJ7 so it's a do's and don'ts for everyone. It's a great mount and looks great, but if it's not perfectly positioned it will get in the way when trying to open the water caps. In its narrow part it can be a little narrower. Too wide for CJ (close to the firewall). I had to grind a little over an eighth of an inch from the end of the firewall. After that I painted it black but this thing is powder coated so it didn't match perfectly. Still a good quality tie but CJ owners beware. Edit: These people take the quality of their product seriously. I originally rated it three stars because of the minor modifications required to fit it in the Jeep CJ. After speaking to me I realized that this is not entirely fair in terms of the quality of the product. In terms of quality, this is definitely a five. However, if you have a battery with removable water caps, be aware that you may need to loosen the mounting nuts slightly to service the battery. (No, they didn't offer anything in return for this edit or you wouldn't be reading it. I take feedback seriously.)
