Screw mount fits perfectly on my 10 year old tripod shoe with plenty of room. Pretty well built device and I think it's suitable for light to medium usage when working with a phone. For the PRICE this is excellent! But if you really need high stability without mobility, for example in strong winds and/or in difficult mountainous terrain with the help of a phone tripod, you can do it. more expensive and stronger - or buy a few! But for indoor or outdoor use, the thing is fine. My photo shows the outer rubber case of my Otterbox Defender iPhone Xs case in the clip area - of course I had to take my phone out to take this shot. In my photo the top clip was unscrewed until I could get it out, then I unscrewed it about 4 good turns - probably the bare minimum to ensure the large phone was secure. As you can see there is *a lot* of clip space for regular sized phones with cases compared to my Xs case.
