At its low price this is the best chair of its kind at Revain. Unfortunately not without problems. First, you cannot adjust the height of the seat without adjusting its angle. Also, getting the chair's "knees" closer to the seat is impossible without the same problem. The chair "adjusts" like scissors that open and close, rotates around a point and can be locked. It would be nice if the seat could rotate independently of the chair. I think someone with the right tools can easily adjust the distance between the knee pads and the seat by drilling new holes in the metal to get more pivot points. Assembly was easy and the instructions were very clear. All the details were there and for the price the material seems quite durable. Some reviews say the memory foam on the armrests isn't thick enough, and I agree, but it's easy to grab a throw pillow or other pillow and place it under your knees. For the first week this chair definitely had that nasty plastic smell that sometimes comes from cheap materials, but it didn't last long. I've found that despite the ergonomic design, I still subconsciously find ways to lean, especially when I'm working at a desk. Because this chair isn't adjustable, it can be quite difficult to find a position where my wrists are at a comfortable angle over the keyboard and aren't leaning too far forward. My desk is 31 inches off the floor and I'm 5 feet 5 inches tall. I can't help feeling that I would benefit more from this chair if my desk was a little shorter or I was a few inches taller than I am now. Considering the price I would definitely recommend this chair and if you have the tools and know-how to make small changes I'm sure you will find it a great alternative to a regular seat.
