Review on Planet Earth Womens Insultated Melange by Julie Valenzuela

Received the black jacket (more denim color as pictured) in about a week, maybe less considering it had to be shipped to Alaska. I'm very happy with the quality of the jacket although I haven't had to wear it in cold weather yet so I'm not sure how warm it is. I like the feel of the material, numerous pockets (just note - what looks like a pocket on the left sleeve is fake). I only gave it 4 stars for a number of reasons: Firstly, although the fit was good overall, if you have wide hips it might be difficult to keep the zipper up. Luckily it's a double zipper which makes it more comfortable to wear. Also, the collar is reinforced with stiff material in the lining, making it a bit odd around the neck; the same in the hood. If you wear a sports helmet, it can be difficult to pull the hood over it. You also need to make sure the leggings don't get caught on the Velcro; Threads are sent to stick to it. Overall I really like the look of the jacket and apart from a few minor flaws I would probably buy this brand again.
