After the bell part, it's looped backwards so it's not a strong connection, they connect the two ends like a rubber band. It breaks very easily so it only lasted a few days before it broke. This is a beautiful purple and thick choker and would be a great choker if it didn't fall apart. The one I bought from the dollar store lasted almost a year so I was very disappointed that I paid more when it broke.
