The kit was well packaged and contained good gel, base and top sizes. The brush was nice and appeared to be good quality for the money. I've used a Beetles Base and Top Coat before so I knew I liked them. This is my first poly gel set and I am not a professional nail technician. I tried some nails and found it easy and loved the idea. Having no experience with other gels I really can't speak for the gel itself or compare it to others. He seemed easy enough to work with. I used the double molds that came with the kit and I think that was my problem. I filled the mold with gel and applied it to my nail, I had to press down to keep it from popping out and when I pressed everything came out. I let go of it to clean it and they removed my nail again. I had to hold her up by holding my hand up to the light. I was so busy trying to save her I forgot to look under my fingernail. what a bummer - and I healed it like that (sigh). The shapes felt very tight and I felt the "C" curve was overdone, maybe a hairpin style but what do I know? Well, I know I didn't like the way they looked, so I stopped with one hand, tried to scrape everything under my fingernail, and cut them off. I haven't tried second hand. If there were paper forms in the set I would give that a try again. Since I found the duplicate forms that came with it difficult, I decided to send them back. The issues I've had with double molds may be due to my lack of experience, so bear that in mind as you read my review. I love the polygel, top coat, base coat and included tools. Double molds are my reason for 3 stars.
