When connecting to Apple headphones, the sound quality deteriorated to the point of being unusable - the volume decreased, it crackled at the slightest movement. When I moved the connection point, the quality improved, but only temporarily. Removing the extension from the chain proved it wasn't the headphones. The second cable is made in the same way. They are brand new with no signs of wear or damage. Edit: To give them a good shake, I tried them again. Last time but the same bad result. Then I tried very hard to connect the plugs and apparently a small gap formed. with a lot of friction. but it was enough to change the situation. It wasn't intuitive to me that there was a gap. I haven't tried another one. I don't want to push my luck and disable a working solution. Hope this helps others.
