I allow myself to trust the mostly great reviews of these sneakers. But the truth is that comfort/fit/appearance etc. doesn't matter if the velcro is totally badly constructed. As another reviewer pointed out, this strap doesn't go through the loop to return to the velcro - it only goes from one side to the velcro on the other side and therefore comes off far too easily. My active child cannot climb/run until the natural curvature of the foot releases the strap and often even drops the boot.
