Review on πŸ•ΆοΈ Rectangular Reading Sunglasses by Maui Jim Makaha Reader by Robin Crane

Great optics though. wearing reading glasses

This is actually a story about two reviews, glasses and a retailer. First glasses. It is excellent. I like the optics and the bifocal cheater feature that lets you read. I'm on the road almost every day and rely heavily on my GPS (my phone, which sits low on the center console). Without bifocal lenses, I have to wear regular glasses over sunglasses. It works, but it's a pain. I can see my GPS well with these glasses. A major downside to these glasses, as reported in many reviews, is that the design is such that the lenses are knocked out of the bridge. I had already read these reviews but decided to take a chance. It was August 2015. My glasses broke last week, didn't even last a year. Well I have a 1 year warranty so I'm sending it in for a replacement lens. Maui Jim contacts me. Apologizes and informs me that the Revain purchase (via Eyesave sunglasses) was not from an authorized reseller and the warranty was not honored. I was offered replacement lenses and nose pads along with a two-year warranty for $75. I think I'll probably wear at least two more pairs so I accepted the offer. I was told they would fix mine and send them back but it looks like they just sent me a new set. If I did it again, I would probably decline. These are great glasses, but they don't last well. If you wish to purchase them, check with the seller to ensure your warranty is maintained.
