I bought these for working out and they are perfect for that though for a (4 star basic) length. I'm 6'3" tall and I'm 245 and 38" in waist so based on the chart and reviews I got the XL. They fit well but are a little long in the crotch and leg. The bonus is that they keep you warmer than I thought, which is why I use them on cold days when cycling.
