I like the size of these fabrics, but they shrink in the washing machine. So they're still a good size, just wish they'd stayed a bit bigger. They're absorbent, but you have to squeeze the saliva into the fabric or it just slides over it. That could just be the texture of the saliva coming out. So when my baby throws up, I have to try to catch a lot of saliva (hooray, reflux!) while trying to push it into the tissues. If I put them on the floor under her when she is prone they are very good at trapping and absorbing the saliva so it doesn't end up on the playmat when she is prone.
