I've been looking for a long time and finally found this thermometer/hygrometer that doesn't require a battery and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. There were two blocks in the package, I placed one next to the humidifier and the other on the door frame. So I know how much humidity a humidifier can increase (between 30% and 45%) and how it compares to outside. They work great and I'm not worried about cold weather draining the battery as they aren't needed.

Very Excited! Today I received my jewelry/things (thermometer, hygrometer, temperature and humidity sensors). I bought a dehumidifier earlier this week and don't want to leave it on. So I can turn it on when needed. The meter reading seems to match the dehumidifier and now I know when to plug it in and start it and I can see the temperature in different rooms. Oh yeah. They are good - small enough to be invisible but very easy to read.

Purchased to test different room temperatures after central air conditioning installation. I found a decent amount of variation in the spaces and was able to adjust the dampers on the trunk to keep everything nice and balanced. Now I use them in many places. I bought these really wanted an old school temp/humidity reader that didn't require batteries but was very disappointed with the quality. The first thing I noticed was that the measurements on the two readers were different. when I first got them. Don't waste your money. I tried setting the humidity using the online manual but couldn't set it for two main reasons. One was that the adjustment screws are attached to the springs and didn't even stay in place when I used the tweeter and readjusted them to hopefully tighten the spring a bit. It never worked.
