Now that we're using a whole house humidifier, I wanted to control the humidity and temperature in different parts of the house. I couldn't understand why there was such a difference between the rooms in the house. Then it dawned on me to put them side by side and leave them overnight. They both don't give the same reading. The closest digitally I have at home and also brought to the same room at night was 2% off (acceptable), the other was 8% off (unacceptable). For temperature, the next difference was 2 degrees (good), the other 5 degrees (not good). As such, they're fine for general use, but not recommended if you're really trying to get more accurate readings of damper and humidifier settings around the home. Of the two, one seems close enough to use at home, the other not.
