These are very good cycling shorts and they have great zip pockets. It's nice to know that what you put in your bag stays there. BUT BE CAREFUL WITH THE SIZE CHART. I have a 34" waist and according to the size chart I need "Large" in the display. The first pair of these shorts I ordered were size "Large" according to the size chart. When I received them they were Shorts in the waist too big.Then I ordered a size 'Medium' and they fit perfectly and I returned the size 'Large'.I would say these shorts are also pickpocket proof and I will use them, when I travel outside of the US SECOND PAIR UPDATE: I ordered a second pair and everything I said above still applies and they have now added a loop strap.The first pair I bought had no belt loops.
