I bought this flashlight to charge my daughter's glow in the dark stars before bed. That's great! Ordinary light charged them faintly, and the small ultraviolet flashlight we used worked well, but it took years to reach all the stars. stars almost complete. I don't think they need to take more than a minute to fully charge. I researched many different options and was concerned that this would not be a "real" UV light, but I could not be happy with my purchase. The flashlight also seems to be quite durable, it's a decent weight and solid body. It was easy to hang on the wall using picture hangers (whichever was handy).
