We moved from Phoenix, AZ to the Pacific Northwest, and it turns out it's much cooler up here than I'm used to. I was looking for a backyard heater, and I was excited to get this.I was going to help my husband put this together, but he did it while I was busy doing something else, so apparently it's not too hard to put it together by yourself. He said it wasn't too bad, however even though there were some tools provided, he still needed to hunt down a screwdriver and a second wrench to make it easier to tighten things up.There were a couple of very slight dents in it, but nothing horrible. They are only noticeable if you know where to look. The 20lb propane tank is not included. The pictures make it look like you need a special tank that's long and skinny, but the regular one you get for your BBQ fits perfectly. There is a picture in the description of a store or restaurant using this indoors. #1 - I'm pretty sure that's photoshopped, and #2 - DON'T use this indoors. Just don't. It needs to vent outside, so just keep it outside. There is a trick to starting this. Pull up the cover on the tank and open the tank. Put the cover back down. Then while pushing in the igniter button, push in and twist the other bit to let gas out so it can ignite. Make sure it actually ignites. I had to play with it a bit before I got the hang of turning it on.The description says something about a 15 foot range. I'm not entirely sure about that. If you are sitting against a wall 15 feet away, you might get some radiant heat bouncing off the wall, but I stopped feeling the heat when I got to about 10 feet away. It wasn't freezing outside, so maybe I would have noticed it better if it was colder, but it was around 55 degrees out. It was *very* nice within 5 feet or so.All together, I really like this. I'm excited to try it when it actually becomes winter - kick back with my morning coffee and look at the pine trees a block away with snow on them. Oh yeah.
