Review on πŸ§€ Cuisinart Boxed Grater, Black: A Must-Have Kitchen Essential in One Size by Christy Ghosh

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I'm glad I have this grater

I'm glad I have this grater because it's so much easier to use than my childhood grater. The grater I had as a kid had a thin, flexible metal handle. It was painful to hold when grating 3 pounds of cabbage. It has a thick, chunky handle to hold on to and comes in handy when I'm grating mounds of potatoes (mmmmmm. mounds of potatoes). The only problem is that I wish the blades were sharper. Like my baby grater, it's just stamped sheets of metal. "Teeth" are not sharpened in any way, which means you have to put more pressure on the food. This, in turn, means that you could be seriously injured if you accidentally slip. I wish I could hop on Microplane brand graters with sharpened blades.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
