Used for my newly installed TV. I've searched back and forth for these types of products with a wired outlet or with an "extension cord" built into the wall that plugs into another outlet. Of course I chose this one. The kit itself includes everything you need for installation (template, socket, etc.) but does not include electrical cables like Romex. I was lucky enough to have an outlet high up on the wall between two posts that I wanted to place in this new built-in outlet. All I had to do was remove that old socket, drag the Romex to the new location and install everything. The Romex went through the new back box with no problems and connected perfectly to the new outlet. I used some fiberglass rods to run the HDMI and CAT6e cable up from the bottom of my wall (I also used a matte Legrand cover to match the top). If you are looking for inexpensive fiberglass rods, Harbor Freight has some decent quality rods that will get the job done quite easily. After everything was pulled out I tightened the screws on the front of the panel and the entire recessed part proved very secure. on the wall. Highly recommend, just make sure you know what you're doing with electrical wiring or hire an electrician!
