UPDATE: At the time the review below was correct. The problem was that the bulb was dangling inside the case - it wasn't supposed to be. I screwed the bulb back on and now it works great. The problem was in the build quality. I would try this lamp again if the price is right. _________________I purchased this part after successfully purchasing another replacement lamp/housing (universal) from another company. The price was right, as was another I bought from another company that lasted about 18 months. That's not a bad time interval since this TV is on all the time - typically morning to night. This bulb burned out after 18 months, having already bought this bulb after about a year, I put this in to be ready. HORRIBLE WASTE OF MONEY. Very dark, not focused and not sharp, with a faded thick line across the screen - just horrible. Do not buy this part! I ordered this replacement in a day - I couldn't stand the picture. I chose OEM Phillips to be on the safe side. FYI, I've tried every setting and researched what I can do to improve it - nothing worked.
