I have purchased these gift boxes several times in the past and felt compelled to write a review of my own. I mainly use this to send small gifts. Keep everything that came with this gift box, including the outer packaging and the plastic wrap you can use to remove the gift box from the outer packaging once you receive it. fill the gift with paper, close the lid, tie a simple bow, put the included plastic wrap in the outer packing box, put this gift box on top. It will be helpful for your recipient to pull out the box once they receive it. I sent fountain pens, ink, a small/medium perfume bottle, mainly small gift items, etc. and it's a great presentation. I think the maximum you can send in this box to make sure things are secure is probably up to 4-5 pounds. But don't take my word for it - I just prefer to ship something that isn't too heavy for the size of the gift box. This is a good size for sending gifts that won't break your wallet if you have to pay for shipping.
