I purchased this rug to match the stair treads we had recently gotten from the same supplier. I was hopeful it would be a great solution for my senior dog to break up the slippery floor space on the landing since removing the ugly wall-to-wall (and stairway) carpet, however this is exactly 0% non-skid. The stair pieces came with double sided tape for non-slip, and it worked so well. I suppose it's on me for assuming by the use of the phrase "non-skid" they meant the product came non-skid, not that I needed to use additional products to make it such (I see that while they show double sided tape on the back of the rug, they never specifically say it comes with it, and one step further, they specifically recommend buying a non-skid carpet pad.) It's still beautiful and of great quality, but I won't be able to put it out until I find a non-skid carpet pad or a good (but non-damaging) double sided adhesive.
