Have tried several drums from other manufacturers, this is by far the best. There are no stripes at all. Clean pages, no problem. I bought a used Brother printer/scanner/copier for $18 at a thrift store. It worked right away but needed a new drum, the old one literally fell apart and didn't eat properly. For less than $20 I bought a new drum and toner and this machine will last me for many years. We have used the brothers exclusively for work and life with them is great. Some models require the drums to be digitally reset. Other toner cartridges may require you to manually adjust the gears with a screwdriver. Many people throw away used toner, unaware that some models report empty toner when the gear reaches the end of its cycle. This process depends on the Brother model. Additional toner cartridges that do not have these gears on the side can be purchased and added to many toner models. You can view your specific printer/drum unit on YouTube to see what is compatible. I don't write many reviews but this drum unit deserves an A+++.
