It was purchased as a replacement for the OEM toner drum unit. Even though it works well, you have to be very careful with it when it's time to replace the toner because it's blue. The tabs that hold and align the toner are very light. As a result, you risk damaging the device if you handle it with anything more durable than kid gloves. If you're ok with that limitation, it's fine for everyday use.
