Looks like a good deal, doesn't it? That's what I thought when I bought it less than 6 months ago. I saw all the negative reviews but for the price I thought I'd take a chance. It arrived and worked quite well for the first few months as I was getting less than 10 pages a day. About a month ago my printouts started smearing and they were getting worse and worse every day. It soon got to the point that I could hardly read texts on paper. To date, this product has received 52 one-star ratings (paraphrased by Revain as "I hate it") out of 146 reviews. That's more than 35%! There's a reason for that. A drum is more than a piece of plastic. The drum itself, the moving part, must be manufactured to strict standards in order for the products to meet the OEM promise of 12,000 pages between replacements. This generic replacement just doesn't fit the bill. Spend a few bucks more and choose an alternative with a higher customer satisfaction rating.
