You need a crimping tool or you will have problems. You cannot crimp them by hand. I don't know how to separate them after you fully insert the pin into the connector. With the small flange toward the end of the cable, place the small O-ring on the cable, crimp the terminal pin to the cable and the small O-ring to the terminal, and insert into the connector body. .The instructions state that before inserting the pin, you must remove the red part from the connector housing. It may be necessary, I'm not sure.
