This collar is well made with high quality leather. I bought this for my 1 year old border collie. The stones sparkle like diamonds in the sun. I haven't had any rock chip issues, but I expect some will be wondering how active it is. When that happens, I just buy a few at a craft store and glue them on. I previously bought a large Pet Kingdom 22-24" rhinestone collar and it was too big, wide and heavy for her small stature so I decided to return it. This collar is perfect. I also have a pet ID tag with me Bought swarovski crystals it fits the collar perfectly Update: it's been almost a year and the collar is still working fine My very active border collie had about 10 rhinestones fall out I've put new rhinestones in and as long as they stay. The rhinestones are attached to a mesh material that is sewn onto the collar so the rhinestones are not in direct contact with the skin.I bought one of these collars again three months ago for my pug.In a normal home would it probably look like new but my older lazy pug is being pulled by a younger and more active border collie lost a lot more rhinestones than a 1 year old collar because of the border Collie keeps biting him. I am still satisfied with the purchase - it remains only to glue more rhinestones.
