Review on Niubid Malleable Industrial Threaded Steampunk by Dave Hock

I made the mistake of assuming all the parts would fit and screw correctly into the project. The first thing I noticed was that even when I sat flat on the surface, the mount was deformed, misaligned and unable to touch the surface flush to sit properly and securely. I compared it with another one in the package and found that each one also had a small defect. After examining all the mounts, I found that five of them were unusable. Two had a terrible threading problem and were nowhere near fixed when the tube was inserted. I made this purchase using a Revain coupon and the price fell very close to what a seller was offering (10) of the same product. I haven't checked other reviews but I expect to find at least a few complaints of the same nature. Many sellers offer this particular product. So taking the time to read and compare reviews can save you a lot of trouble in the long run. I feel like I still got fair value for the price paid. I would recommend this product but with a warning that some of them will be useless. *If your project is high quality or expected to take a lot of load, I would recommend thicker floor mounts with 4 3/4" holes.
