Review on 🚦 Amber Cube LED Driving Lights - 3 Inch CREE Off Road Lights with Amber LED (1 Pair) by John Hickey

Great flashlights for the price

Just installed today. You are wonderful. I use them as running/fog lights and they can actually put out too much light to be useful on the road. Compared to the PIAA 55W/H3 fog lights they replaced, it's literally the difference between day and night when these WAY bulbs outperform the old PIAA lights. Although I'm comparing the H3 to LEDs here, PIAA makes LEDs, but they cost almost three times as much. Pros - Nice solid black painted aluminum body? Bright white (not yellow), very, very bright. Stainless steel mounting screws, good mount, extra rubberized electrical wiring, reverse polarity protection (works, I tested). Cons - two different hex screw heads, their plug is not universal so get their $19 wiring kit. (I didn't because I cut and soldered the PIAA connector to avoid extra wiring) and this could be a long term problem if the wiring enters the metal case as it doesn't look good waterproofing. This can only be verified after several months of weather in the northwest. Overall this is an amazing light for the price. It doesn't say 35 watts per pair or per lamp. I'm guessing a pair, so the amp draw will be around 3 amps - a very low current draw, which is one of the main reasons for switching to LEDs. If it is lit it still means only 6 amps. I am currently using a 10 amp fuse, both lights are on the same line and I have no power issues. Will probably buy more of these in the future!

Pros
  • Lighting and lighting accessories
Cons
  • Very expensive
