I ordered this because my roommate left a bunch of bananas in the back of the fridge for weeks - by then they were found, the damage was already there and it stank even with the door closed Fridge throughout the kitchen. It was absolutely disgusting. The ice stank horribly, the oil stank of farts, and it was utterly awkward to eat or drink anything from home. I added this shortly after it arrived (when it was delivered to Prime overnight) and let it start doing its thing. According to the product description, it can eliminate odors within a few hours, which I only partially expected. But when I checked the fridge after 2 or 3 hours I was shocked how tolerable it was and not smelly. our entire fridge because of a bag of rotten bananas (and my guilty roommate twice as much).
