I think they hold my hair up better than the more popular long hairstyles, plus they don't snag my hair. I first discovered this style when they came with my hot curlers 20 years ago. Eventually they broke so I started looking for more. The only problem is that some of them have sharp pointy ends and I ordered because they are black but received half of the cream colored one.
