cheap replacement for my dead duck
Yes the duck is dead - my favorite phone was like a duck in size, shape and color but instead of ringing it quacked! (Landline.) I wanted an inexpensive replacement and this works great, but the downsides are that the cord is short and can't be replaced; appears to be permanently attached, unlike most desk phones with detachable cords; and the bell isn't very loud so I can't hear it from afar or from outside. But I don't use my phone very often and really didn't want to spend a lot, so this suits my needs.
