I'm a Brooks fanatic and buy about 2-4 pairs of Cascadia a year starting with the Cascadia 8. The GTX line is great in winter, but in the past the materials have been where the outer (distal?) metatarsal meets the ankle hits, very thin a week prone to cracking. Good: This latest model seems to have fixed this problem. Isn't that the prettiest Cascadia since 8? Great support, fantastic shoe for anyone struggling with plantar fasciitis. Brooks customer service has been very helpful in the past. Bad: The horizontal seam where the heel meets the Achilles tendon failed on both shoes within 2 months. It's not typical of Brooks quality (there's a reason I'm a fan and don't complain about how much they cost).
