Review on TRENDnet 2 Port Switch Cable TK 205K by Ryan Lindstrom

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Limited but very effective

I don't often get to speak positively about a device, but this is one of those exceptions. Of course, the model I received is not the one in the photo (I received the TK-205i, not the TK-205k), but I'm still very impressed. The installation went with a bang. Admittedly it was a bit confusing at first but not so much once I had everything plugged in and between the toggle button and the keyboard shortcut I'm glad I can control two of my computers at the same time allowing me to use one computer as a PC for gaming -PC. Of course there are limitations. The first constraint is solid. If I had more money, I would personally buy a TK-209K model that would allow me to use USB instead of PS/2. Second, maybe I can switch the sound. Anyway, I can only connect my speakers to ONE PC or connect another set of speakers to another PC. Not very convenient or efficient. Overall I give this product a 5. That's all I expected, but it could be friendlier. Again, save your money and buy the TK-209k model to get USB capability as well as audio capabilities. But if you want something economical and aren't concerned about using PS/2 or sharing audio between two PCs, then this product might be a better fit for your budget.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Style 90
