Works perfectly! suitable for external components

Bought to share monitor, keyboard and mouse with two PCs: one system is a Unix server and the other is a workstation PC with Windows 7. Easy to install and works great without any hassle or the need for customization. Also self-propelled. Includes two combo cables (VGA, PS/2 mouse, PS/2 keyboard). Simply press button 1 or button 2 to switch between the systems. Just installed today so can't speak of long term reliability but so far so good. I recommend it to anyone who needs such a solution.

Easy install and everything works

Before installing, I barely looked at the instructions that came with it. PC with Vista and laptop with XP. Once I set up my laptop to display on an external monitor, everything worked as advertised. I also ordered a USB to PS/2 TU PS2 converter from TRENDnet to work with my laptop's USB ports. Basically it was a test. I want to use it with a Windows 7 PC that I haven't bought yet. I don't think the documentation says it works with Windows 7, but I'm pretty sure it does. I can email the…

Limited but very effective

I don't often get to speak positively about a device, but this is one of those exceptions. Of course, the model I received is not the one in the photo (I received the TK-205i, not the TK-205k), but I'm still very impressed. The installation went with a bang. Admittedly it was a bit confusing at first but not so much once I had everything plugged in and between the toggle button and the keyboard shortcut I'm glad I can control two of my computers at the same time allowing me to use one computer…

Works great, easy to use.

Small, compact, works great. Everything connected, everything works. The cables are very good, good length, nice shape, easy to use. I have several different styles, sizes and brands of KVM switches and this was the cheapest but works great. I'm glad I chose this one for its small size and handy cable. Please note this is a PS/2 KVM switch, more for older machines. Like expensive models, it has several modes of operation, such as shortcut keys for switching cars.

  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Simple external components

I recently upgraded my system from a very old Win98 PC to a more modern one. I found that I don't have enough desktop space for both machines to live together while doing a lossless migration with an old car. In my opinion, this works best with a KVM switch. I didn't plan on keeping both machines active and didn't need them after the switch, so it was nice to find this little device at an almost affordable price. After looking at as many Revain reviews as possible before purchasing, I once…

What a wonderful find! Best external components

Pros: This product does what it says on the tin. It was very easy to set up and get started. The price was great too. Cons: The Logitech Trackman driver supports full button customization, but KVM doesn't seem to allow driver interaction with a mouse, so the Logitech Trackman acts like a generic device.

  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Good value for money

I bought this to replace a 5 year old KVM that was driving me crazy. I based my purchase of this device on the price, the fact that it came with free shipping, and the good reviews from those who bought it. I agree with the good reviews. This is a great KVM for the price. It worked right away and hasn't given me any hiccups yet. Recommended for price and performance. It may not be the best KVM, but it's the best you'll ever buy for $16.55.
