The scale itself works normally and corresponds to the declared characteristics. The size description is a bit confusing. You measure it first in centimeters and then in brackets in inches. I understand that here in the US we are not up to par with the rest of the world but at first glance the size seems larger than it is, I didn't miss it from the seller but from my carelessness. The bottom line is, if you thought the scale was in the 2-foot range, big enough to fit a small dog or large cat, it's not, and we struggled to keep a 5-pound kitten on it to get her weight. The top shelf also detaches from the base, often making it difficult to achieve its proper weight.
