This product is made of soft black leather a material that is the right choice instead of saving money by buying cheap plastic check book holders the ends eventually harden and crack along the hinge. This product has neat stitching which is nice and strong which hopefully increases the durability of the product. Since the cover was brand new, I had to run my finger through each pocket before I could slip my checkbook and ledger into the cover's stitched pockets. Conclusion: The leather case offers my checks a safe home. Thanks very much!
